Code Styling Project

I did the last changes for this plugin several month ago. Because currently I run into an extra ordinary amount of support forced by the extreme memory consumption of WordPress Version 3.0 and above, some changes to this plugin were necessary and have been done. A lot of people in the world are waiting for a translatable version too.
I also realized wishes from the community and from my email list with proposals. Also some interesting reminder out of the comments on this blog have been introduced at this new version now.

Changes made at Admin Pages

One of the first occured wishes was the adaption of the dashboard widget to a 3 or 4 column layouted dashboard. Unfortunately such a modification makes not much sence because the available width becomes to low, the content will be giantly stretched and becomes unreadable. That’s why the Widget remains at the actual known width and I suggest a max. 2 column based dashboard layout for using the widget.
But to satisfy nevertheless somehow the wishes I created a new setting page for the plugin. At this settings page you will find the same information as the widget will present but it utilizes the full available width now.

Because the dashboard widget is nonsence at more than 2 columns at dashboard, you can switch off the widget at the new settings page now. So the settings page remains now as the only starting point for all the informations provide by this plugins.

Additionally the plugin gots an extension for the admin footer area of your blog at lower right corner. You will find there the actual memory consumption for each admin page you open. If you don’t want this information, you can disable this feature at the settings page too.

increased information density

The biggest modification you will find at the WordPress section itself. You will find there much more additional informations especially for the new WordPress 3.x versions. But also the other sections got a lot of additional information entries necessary to analyze a system.

Translation supported

After passing many month the plugin is now fully translatable. If you wish to translate it into your own language, feel free to do so. You can also contribute your translations. They will later on published with the next updates.

Conclusion

The today published update with version 1.2 of my plugin is more a general polish and extension. This was necessary to become the base for future extensions will be integrated into. I think, that many of you will have advantages to use this plugin in error cases at your friends or customer to find out the problems.
